CONTEMPORARY FAMILY GARDEN
The brief here was to design a space that could be used both for entertaining and as a family friendly garden. The client wanted a large dining space from the patio doors with a contemporary but formal feel. The site also allowed for a sunken aspect to the lawn area as it sloped down as it fell away from the back of the property. To the side of the house an additional artificial lawn area was installed as an enclosed play area for the clients young children. The garden uses a sawn grey sandstone slab with a granite sett detail around the edge and in the centre of the patio space.
Planting was mainly low maintenance with Buxus balls and Photinia pleached trees to provide structure.
